Rich Girls, part deux:
I went into the study in my house, and my sister was there watching a show called “Rich Girls”. Apparently, MTV (one of the highlights of modern cultural programming) has decided to follow around Tommy Hilfiger’s daughter and some friend of hers.
I’m really glad I don’t get cable in the basement, or I might be tempted to watch this. I don’t understand what motivates STUPID PEOPLE to come up with this crap. One, they’re rich people who are going “I’m so happy I don’t have to fly on planes with regular people.” Two – does this show ENRICH anyone, anywhere, at all, who is not MTV, Hilfiger, her friend, or the advertisers? At least cartoons can provide witty repartee and some semblance of social commentary. This crap is the lampooning of human thought and ability.
I liked MTV more when it was about the music.
