Here’s a ME update. It’s nice when I get a chance to read what other people are up to, and I enjoy letting you folks know what’s going on.
Also, please let me know if you think I should redesign something so that different posts come under different headings, since I know I’ve been putting up a lot of links lately to news sources and such. I’ve been considering setting up some sort of category dohickey to handle that, you know what I mean?
Anyway, it’s Tuesday night, and I should be doing the work for the Japanese Literature thesis paper I have due on 14 May, as well as the survey, taste test, and paper I have due for my Marketing Research Methods class. Instead, I’ve taken the time to watch The Animatrix, which has been excellent and well worth that time I could have used for homework. My Marketing Strategies group did present our Marketing Game results today, and I think we did a good job, I’m sure. My graph rocked the house like nothing else.
It’s been busy here. This past weekend, I worked from 12PM to 4AM for Art Attack, so I was out on the campus mall for several hours, and then working the George Clinton and Parliment Funkadelic concert for the rest of it. It was a pretty incredible concert, and we were all amazed at the blueish-grey cloud of pot smoke that just hung inside the stadium. Fascinating. Saturday was errand day, and then I went to Dara’s Birthday Party, as well as the Student Entertainment Events Funk ‘Til It Hurts party presented by the Hunks of Spice. Definately funktastic, I’d say.
I’m doing a lot better than I was that last week of April, where all the bad stuff seemed to happen at once. Still waiting for word back from one of the problems, and I IMed the other today to see if she would respond (I figured it was worth a shot, judging from what I knew). In any case, at least maybe she would have responded and said something, something like “Hi.”
Alas, no dice, and, as I recalled those words my mother told me when I became of age and she called me to her side – She said you’re growing up now, pretty soon you’ll take a bride. And then she said: just because you’ve become a young man now, there’s still some things that you don’t understand now. Before you ask some girl for her hand, keep your freedom for as long as you can. She continued by explaining that just as sure as the wind is gonna blow, the women come and the women go, so before you tell them that you love them so…my momma told me “you better shop around.”
So that’s the recent news. I’m gonna go practice guitar now, I know I can get something down sooner or later…shop around!
